Strategic Partnership Between Albilad Capital and Japan’s Asset Management One to Expand International Investment Products in the Kingdom

Tokyo – December 1, 2025

Albilad Capital announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with Asset Management One, the investment arm of Mizuho Group in Tokyo, during the FII PRIORITY Asia summit being held this week in the Japanese capital Tokyo.

The partnership aims to launch the first ETF tracking Japanese equities that complies with the guidelines of the Shariah Committee at Albilad Capital, to be listed on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul). The two parties will work on finalizing the proposed fund structure and studying the launch mechanisms in line with the promising opportunities in the market. The two parties intend to commit to listing the fund before the end of 2026, thereby providing investors with high-quality international investment options. The two parties will also discuss the possibility of expanding the scope of cooperation in the future to include the development of other investment products, with the aim of offering distinctive and innovative solutions to investors in the Kingdom.

In this context, Mr. Zaid AlMufarih, CEO of Albilad Capital, confirmed:

The President and CEO of Asset Management One, Mr. Noriyuki Sugihara, said: “This MoU marks an important step in providing Saudi Arabian investors with attractive opportunities to invest in the Japanese market, while strengthening the economic ties between our two countries. We hope that this partnership will further deepen the friendly relations between Japan and Saudi Arabia and create new opportunities for growth for both sides. Moving forward, we will continue to actively promote initiatives that contribute to the development of both nations, based on trust and collaboration."

At the conclusion of the ceremony, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to developing future cooperation and building a sustainable partnership aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the securities ecosystem and supporting the Kingdom's financial and economic transformation journey.
